Rituals are incredibly powerful. Whenever you have an intention around a goal, a focus or an idea, if you take the time to sit and ritualize around it, the likelyhood of it coming to fruition skyrockets. Its the crystal clarity and the deliberateness of whatever it is you’re calling in.
To prepare for ritual, set aside some uninterrupted time, create the space for opening and receivership is entirely up to you. I like to have candles lit, sage or palo santo my space, have some frequency running through and some tunes. Most of my rituals are done at night, when the unseen is more alive, at least for me. I often will call in my angels and my ancestors to commune in ceremony with me.
We ritual every single day. Your morning coffee cup, sitting with family for dinner, even brushing our teeth morning and night is a ritual. We perform rituals to connect to something greater than ourselves. It provides familiarity and routine, which can increase the feeling safety and comfort in an otherwise unpredictable human experience.
Solstice Ritual
I heard this on my favorite social media platform last year, called 12 magical nights. My family and I did this ritual together and every night we did the ritual as I will lay out for you. Micah had asked for this box at the La Cruz market and it was perfect because we had just said goodbye to a baby that didn’t make it Earthside. So the three of us on land and the star baby hanging out by the moon.
The Practice
Write down 13 things, ideas, goals, foci that you want to call in throughout 2025. You’re going to take the pieces of paper and fold them and place them in a jar, a box, an envelope, a pouch or something that closes. You can start any day you’d like. Vanessa the Wonder Worker said if you’re pagan, you can start on the winter solstice, if you’re Christian you can start on the 24th of December. It really doesn’t matter what day you start or what religious/cultural affiliation you are, all that matters is your intention.
What we did was write all the wishes on a piece of paper that we haven’t unwrapped because the year isn’t over. Once it is, I’ll let you know what came through for us. We’ll likely have a ritual for this unveiling in the New Year.
Zoom in and see that we have ‘ocean’ and ‘oatmeal’ in there. Those were definitely present throughout 2024. :)
The next day, you have your 13 wishes and take one out of the jar or box and keep it unread and burn it. Placing the fire and sending the smoke to the universe to make it happen for you. Source, the universe, God, the unseen, your angels and ancestors are responsible for making this wish come true.
Every day for the next 12 days, you will burn one of those pieces of paper. Make this however in depth or light as you’d like. Have fun with it though, none of this is meant to be serious. Plus the more emotion you place into each ritual, the more the quantum leap happens instantly.
You will be left with one piece, one wish. You get to read this one because it is your responsibility to make this one come to reality.
Ours was “let go easily of outside influences while being authentic in all ways, always.”
I can say I definitely came into my own truth and voice this year in a bolder and more authentic fashion than I have in the past.
Bonus:
Vanessa also recommends pulling a card each day that corresponds with the month. We did this with our Herbal Astrology deck from Adriana Ayales. Its an absolute stunning deck that is not just for guidance, but also educational. You can use any deck you’d like and write down what each months theme will be for you.
Beautiful. You’re done.
Let me know if you do this and what you feel through the ritual process.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading. I love you.
